If you know that your kid is being bullied, provide a listening ear about tough situations, but encourage your kid to also tell you about the good parts of their day, and listen attentively so that open communication becomes a habit for everyone. Make sure they know you believe in them and that you’ll do what you can to address any bullying.

Encourage your child to get involved in activities that build their confidence and self-esteem and help them to form friendships outside of school (or wherever the bullying is taking place).
